Recommend a Title

At Dubai Public Libraries, the "Recommend a Title" service empowers our community to actively shape our collection, ensuring it reflects the diverse interests and intellectual curiosities of Dubai's residents. This vital initiative allows patrons to suggest new books, journals, films, or other media they believe would enrich our extensive resources. We carefully review every submission, considering its relevance, popular demand, critical acclaim, and alignment with our mission to provide comprehensive and engaging materials for all ages and interests.

Our approach to title recommendations is rooted in a long-standing commitment to serving the public, a tradition that began with the inauguration of Al Ras Public Library in 1963 by the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum. The dedicated acquisitions team at Dubai Public Libraries leverages decades of experience in collection development, combining professional expertise with an understanding of local cultural nuances and international trends. This ensures that recommended titles meet our quality standards while enhancing the breadth and depth of our offerings across all branches.

Whether you reside in Deira, Jumeirah, or any other vibrant community across Dubai, your recommendations are valued and contribute directly to the cultural enrichment of the emirate. We encourage all registered members to utilize this service through our easy-to-use online form, helping Dubai Public Libraries continue to grow as a dynamic hub of knowledge and learning. Your input helps us build a library collection that truly serves every member of our diverse readership.
